Quick & Easy Halloween Costume Ideas

Piggy Bank
Wear pink clothes and put a piece of black electrical tape on your forehead (coin slot)

American Flag Costume
Wear navy blue sweat shirt and red sweat pants. Cut stars out of white contact paper and stick to the shirt, and use white tape to make stripes down the pant legs.

Black Cat Costume
Wear a black sweat suit. Make a Cat Ear Headband to wear. Use felt or even construction paper and cut out a long thin tail; use a safety pin and attach it to the back of your sweat pants. Use black eye liner or face paint and make yourself whiskers and a black nose.

Blues Clues Costume
Wear a light blue sweat suit. Make a blue Dog Ear Headband to wear. Cut different sized circles out of dark blue felt. Use tacky glue to attach your spots all over your sweat suit. Use felt or even construction paper and cut out a short tail; use a safety pin and attach it to the back of your sweat pants. Use black eye liner or face paint and make yourself a black nose to complete your costume.

Butterfly Costume
Cut wing shapes out of cardboard. Hold the wings up to the back of whoever is going to wear it. Make a mark on the wings just above each shoulder and just under each armpit. Punch a small hole where you made each mark. Paint as desired. You can also embellish them with glitter, sequins, ect. Use your imagination!

Cereal Killer
Put on the Black outfit. Empty the cereal boxes and then glue the tops closed. Stab the plastic knifes into the boxes of cereal, secure with glue if needed. Add some fake blood on the knives and cuts. Pin the mini cereal boxes all over the outfit (If helpful, you may do this before you glue the boxes shut.)

Chance of Rain
An easy costume to make... Wear blue sweats with 'puffs' of batting attached to resemble clouds. To complete it, carry a squirt gun. Would be great if you had someone else dress up as a weather person.

Crayon Costume
Find a sweat suit that matches the color of crayon you want to be. Using black construction paper or even dark colored contact paper, write the word CRAYON sideways down the front of the sweat suit. Make yourself a matching pointed hat out of construction paper. Staple a string to it and tie under your chin if necessary.

Elephant Costume
Wear a gray sweat suit (If you can't find a gray sweat suit, try dying a white one). Make an Elephant Ear Headband to wear. Use felt or even construction paper and cut out a short, pointy tail; use a safety pin and attach it to the back of your sweat pants. Make yourself an Elephant Trunk to wear.

Flower Costume
Wear a green sweat suit. Cut leaf shapes out of green felt and glue them here and there on your sweat suit. Using the same color felt cut out two 2 - 3 inch strip that is long enough to fit around your neck and over lay on the back by about an inch. Cut large petal shapes out of felt (whatever color you want). Glue the straight edge of the petals along the edge of one of your felt strips. Glue the other felt strip on top of the petal edges and the other felt strip to secure them in place. Once the glue is dry, use self-adhesive velcro on the strip to make a "collar" out of the strip you cut.

Static Cling
Wear a a dark colored sweatsuit. Using safety pins, attach 'clingy' iems to yourself... socks, undies, fabric softener sheets, ect. Make sure you also make your hair stand up like it has been attacked by static cling.

Tree Costume
Wear a brown sweat suit; one with a hooded sweatshirt wood be perfect! Cut out many leaf shapes from green felt and glue them on your sweat suit, primarily on the arms, shoulders, and hood.
