Halloween Costume Ideas for Couples
Painter and a Work of Art
Painter wears jeans and a a beret, and carries a paint palette and paint brush. "Work of Art" wears all white clothes with paint splattered all over.
Starsky and Hutch
Bill and Ted
Bill wears a yellow t-shirt and a green lumberjack shirt over it ( not buttoned up), blue jeans, and a red baseball cap that says "Wyld Stallyns" (he wears cap backwards). Ted wears a pink t-shirt, an orange zip-up hoody, and a red vest with a happy-face on the back. Ted also wears jeans. Bill has short, blonde, curly hair and Ted has "surfer" styled black hair. Say "EXCELLENT!" a lot!
Dog Warden and Dog
Dog warden wears jeans and work shirt, with "Animal Control" stenciled on the back. Other person dresses like a dog, with a leash around their neck. For added effect, spray whipped cream or around the dog's mouth.
Daisy Duke and Uncle Jesse
Daisy wears short shorts, cowboy boots, and a checkered shirt tied at the waist. Uncle Jessie wears a plaid shirt with long johns showing underneath, blue jean overalls, straw cowboy hat, cowboy boots, long gray braided hair, and carries a guitar.
Gold Digger and Mr. Moneybags
She wears a gold dress, gold shoes, gold wig and gold accessories. Take some small shovels (like the ones that come with kids' sand pails) and spraypaint them gold, then hang them all over the dress. He wears a suit with money hanging out of the pockets. You can also pin some glittery dollar signs over his suit and add a dollar sign necklace.
Bag of Money and Robber
He dresses like a western bandit. She is a bag of money. Take white material and sew it into a bag shape that can fit around your body. Wear green or dark tights. Tie the top of the bag loosely around your next with rope and glue play money sticking out.
Macaroni and Cheese
One person wears a cheese hat and the other person wears a sweat suit with macaroni noodles super-glued all over it.
Gilligan and the Skipper
(Great costume for a man and woman - whoever is skinnier can be Gilligan.) For Skipper, wear a white captain cap, blue golf shirt, white pants and a pair of tennis sneakers. Gilligan has white sailer hat, red long-sleeved polo shirt, white pants, and sneakers.
Sid and Nancy
Sid wears a leather jacket with studs and patches all over it, tight leather pants and spikey black hair. Nancy wears black leather pants and leather jacket, with teased blonde hair and tons of make-up.
E-Male and Attachment
He dresses in normal clothes, with a large letter "E" on his chest. She wears paperclips all over her clothes.
Psycho Couple
He dresses like Norman Bates' "mom" (grey wig, old frumpy dress), and carries a knife. She wears a shower curtain wrapped around her with fake blood from her "stab" wounds (use gel to keep hair looking wet).
Popeye and Olive Oyl
He dresses as a sailor and wears a tan long-sleeved shirt underneath his uniform, with "muscles" stuffed underneath and tattoes drawn on (and don't forget the pipe and can of spinach). She wears baggy red top with ruffled white collar and cuffs, long black skirt with a horizontal stripe around the bottom, and heavy boots.
Jack and Jill
Get two t-shirts and write JACK and JILL on the backs of each. Jack can wear a broken crown and have lots of blood coming from his head. Jill should have lots of bruises from tumbling after, bruised face and bloody lips. They can both carry around tin pails of water!
Salt and Pepper Shakers
Use grey and white felt to create cylinders for the base of the shakers. Write "SALT" and "PEPPER" on the front. Make caps out of starched chef hats, and paint them silver. Alternate/Easier Method: Salt wears a white trash bag with holes cut for arms and legs and "SALT" written on the front. Pepper does the same with a black trash bag. Both wear caps made from foil.
Devil and an Angel
She dresses up as the devil and he dresses up as the innocent little angel.
Energizer Bunny and Battery
He wears a pink sweat suit with a cotton tail, a headband with construction paper ears, flips flops, sunglasses, and carries a hat box covered to look like a drum. She wears a black sweat suit with "Energizer" on the front and back, with black shoes.
Road and Road Kill
One person dresses in all black, and paints or tapes yellow lines to look like a road. The other person dresses like a bunny, cat or other animal. Before you put the costume on, run it over with a car and then rip it up a bit. Then put fake blood on as appropriate.
Men In Black
Wear black suit, white shirt, black tie, black shoes and socks, and dark sunglasses. If you have a third person (or kids), have them dress like an alien!
Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam
For statue, get a gray sheet or fabric and wrap around to make the dress, paint skin gray and use silver lipstick. Fashion a torch out of construction paper. For Uncle Sam get a old suit and hat, wear a white beard and put a small American flag in pocket of suit or use an American flag tie.
